Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SanukDee mobile application ("the app") operated by Philipp Siegert ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use SanukDee. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the app.

2. Description of Service

SanukDee is an AI-powered Thai language learning application. The app provides conversational Thai practice, structured lessons, scenario-based role-play, pronunciation exercises, and a personal phrasebook. Some features are available for free; advanced features require a Pro subscription (see Section 4).

3. AI-Generated Content

SanukDee uses artificial intelligence to generate Thai language responses, corrections, and lesson content. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated responses may contain errors, inaccuracies, or imperfect Thai.
• The app is an educational tool, not a substitute for professional language instruction.
• We make no warranty that learning outcomes will be achieved.
• AI conversation history is processed in real time and is not stored permanently on our servers after the session ends.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Free tier. Core lessons, scenarios, and basic features are available at no cost.

SanukDee Pro. A Pro subscription unlocks unlimited AI conversations, all game modes, and advanced features. Pro is available on the following terms:

• Monthly plan: USD 6.99 per month
• Annual plan: USD 49.99 per year (saving approximately 40%)

Prices are displayed in your local currency at checkout and may vary by region. All payments are processed through Google Play and are subject to Google's payment terms.

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your Google Play account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

Free trials. If a free trial is offered, unused portions of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Google Play Store (Google Play → Account → Subscriptions → SanukDee). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain Pro access until then.

Refunds. All refund requests are handled by Google Play in accordance with Google Play's refund policy. We do not process refunds directly. For refund requests, please use the Google Play order management system.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app.
• Attempt to manipulate, abuse, or extract system prompts from the AI.
• Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the app.
• Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit access to the app.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the app or its backend services.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for users who violate these terms.

7. Intellectual Property

The app, including its design, text, graphics, lesson content, audio recordings, and code, is owned by Philipp Siegert and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app solely for your personal, non-commercial language learning purposes.

8. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The app will be error-free or uninterrupted.
• AI-generated Thai language content is accurate, complete, or appropriate for all contexts.
• The app will meet your specific learning objectives.

SanukDee is an educational tool for entertainment and self-study purposes. It is not a certified language course and does not lead to any formal qualification.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Philipp Siegert shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app, including but not limited to loss of data or loss of profits.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes via the app or by email where applicable. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Germany, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
